Smoke and Steam at Trinity Gallery

On Saturday, June 9, 2012 Trinity Gallery will host artist, author, and illustrator, Anne Lee (also my friend!)
Anne will be presenting a family story time for all ages featuring her just-released book, When you are Camping. I was delighted with this story about two girls splashing in puddles, discovering bugs, and exploring the outdoors.
Original illustrations and art work will also be on display, and copies of the book will be available for purchase.
Trinity Gallery is located at 4747 Hatfield St., Pittsburgh 15201  You can find more information at Trinity Gallery’s Facebook page.
You can learn more about Anne Lee and her work at www.anneleestudio.com.
Her first illustrated book, Old Abe, Eagle Hero, (written by Pat Young) was published by Kane/Miller in 2010
I have updated the “Martha Ressler wall” in the backroom with a new piece. For the last year I have concentrated on intrepreting in fabric some of the paintings by “the Pittsburgh School” painters who depicted steel making in its heyday.
This one is of Otto Kuhler’s watercolor( n.d. on paper 11×8 inches) at Westmoreland Museum for American Art.
My piece is 15 x 11 made of fabrics, antique lace, and stitching. Mine is the top one.
