A break from real art — today it is a table protector.
A new client sent me such a cute picture of a commissioned photo pillow I made. Here it is in place with Jordie, the doggie who posed. I used a decorative tucking technique for the white area, plus custom made piping. The back is a beautiful light blue and tan batik, with a zipper closure. A
A friend commissioned me to make her a Hot Spot in a particular design: a comic book woman crying, saying “OH MY GOD I FORGOT TO HAVE CHILDREN!” I checked my go-to fabric designer, Michael Miller, but he has no such design, nor does any other fabric designer that I could find. I did find
I just finished a batch of “Hot Spots Too.” They are pot holders made made in a raw-edged applique crazy patchwork design. Some have pieces of Michael Miller’s Dysfunctional Family design. I made 20, getting ready for yART sale June 24. I love to make these!
