My Studio

Day 1.5

I also want to show you my studio. The entire space is 500 square feet in the walk-out basement of our home near Hamburg, PA. We built the house in 2010, and designed it with the studio in mind. My husband is an artist too, and occupies half of the work space. I have four machines there: an industrial Singer 95-10 that only does straight stitch; a MyLock 234D Serger; my Bernina Aurora 440 which I use for free motion quilting, and a Viking Husqvarna 980 which I use for zig zag stitching. There are 4 other machines in storage ready to take when I teach.

Me at the 8 x 8′ table, with storage beneath, where I spent a lot of my time.
Overall view of my side of the studio.
My trusty old industrial Singer machine, with the serger to the left.
My ironing table with the design wall to the right.
